AFreedish.com is an initiative of National Satellite Systems (NSS) an Authorized independent retailer of the DISH Network.

As the leading provider of International television Channels in the United States, the DISH Network broadcasts over 200 Channels in over 28 languages with 100% digital delivery. National Satellite Systems is the 5th largest authorized retailer of the DISH Network in the USA and number one in online sales.

Its quality of support and customer - centric principles helps them to provide excellent customer service. Striving to provide their customers with a superior shopping experience from purchase to installation and the finest in digital -quality home entertainment, their website formed a crucial part of their marketing efforts, being the hub of all online leads and sales.

In order to provide details of the huge list of available channels to their customers, National Satellite Systems needed an enterprise-wide solution. The planned site had to be a one-stop-shop for their basic packages, program details, equipment, offers and free customer quotes.

Goals

National Satellite Systems (NSS) wanted to have a website promoting their packages, programs and equipment, presenting their blogs details and offering free quotes to customers.

Challenges

  • We needed to provide workflow as well as versioning for changed content
  • The application was to work with the customer’s custom design in terms of the main navigation and vertical navigation.
  • The website should offer a ‘get a quote’ form to prospective customers.

Solution

  • Integrated with social network sites like Facebook and Twitter.
  • Used CMSListMenu for the main navigation and CMSTreeView for the left navigation.
  • Utilized the BreadCrumbs web part for providing sitemap navigation.
  • Created document types for DISH network offers and displayed them in a repeater on the homepage.
  • Created a Bizform which includes fields like Name, Email, Phone and Zip code for customers to get a free quote from the National Satellite Systems.
  • Maintained a simple workflow, creating one level of approval for content
  • changes.
